new date and location set for 2010 open...

Due to the Tournament's continued growth over the last two year's we have already outgrown our previous hall size and space.

The new location will be The Comfort Inn & Conference Center, Bowie MD, the hall space is two and a half times the size of last year's Holiday Inn.

The date is set for November 5, 6 & 7, 2010, will again be ADO sanctioned and on Sunday afternoon host the Maryland State Championships.

2010 new location...

The 2010 tournament will be held in a hotel hall environment which will enable all dart shooters and their guests to "play and stay" in one location. The organizers are pleased to announce The Comfort Inn & Conference Center of Bowie, as the tournament location and have agreed special player discounted room rates. state championships...

Although, the tournament has a new name, the State Championships will still take place, they will now be one of several events on Sunday and are open to all residents of Maryland and Washington DC. The format is singles 501, for both men and women, in single elimination play over the best of 3 legs. Some past State Champions have gone on to represent the US in international play and indeed are now playing professionally.

Originally known as The Maryland State Championships and organized by BADA, Baltimore Area Darting Association, one of the 30 founding member associations of the ADO,American Dart Organization, in 1976.Since the dissolvement of BADA the tradition of  organizing the annual tournament has been kept alive by The Central Maryland Dart league. Since it's inception in 1990 the tournament has raised over $59,000 for various charities, the 2010 benefiting charity will be the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-Atlantic
